DIY Ceramic Coating - Avant Guard Coatings
AG DIY Ceramic Coating
Most wipe on ceramics compromise on chemistry to make application easier. AG DIY doesn’t. Built on a reactive Silazane backbone, it undergoes a real covalent bonding process with your paint’s clear coat forming a cross linked Si-O-Si siloxane network that chemically integrates with the surface rather than sitting on top of it. That’s the difference between a coating that lasts and one that washes away.
Engineered for Heat. Tested Beyond 100°F.
Most DIY coatings flash unpredictably in high heat, high humidity environments, leaving high spots and uneven cure. AG DIY’s proprietary heat index compensator stabilizes flash time even past 100°F and 70% humidity consistent, controllable application in real world conditions, not just a climate controlled garage.
The Science Behind the Shine
Silazane reacts with atmospheric moisture during cure, converting Si-N bonds into a dense, glass like SiO₂ matrix on your paint. The result is a hardened, hydrophobic shell that causes water to bead and sheet aggressively taking road grime, brake dust, and contaminants with it.
Professional Results. No Installer Required.
• Wipe on, buff off intentional wax like haze tells you exactly when to remove
• Half vehicle work time so you’re never racing the flash
• Next day hydrophobic activation
• Rated 3 years / 36,000 miles against UV, oxidation, chemical etching, and environmental fallout
• Compatible with ceramic toppers and maintenance sprays
